Sins

Every effort is made to leave the definition of sins broad for players to be able to decide what best fits their character. However, there are a few sins which the mods feel are 'universal' and that most everybody can at least agree on. These should be included regardless of how a character would feel about them. These are:

Murder (Not done in self-defense.)

Stealing

Lying

Cheating

Rape

Other sins can be what a character feels or knows would be socially unacceptable. For instance, if they feel like they failed someone else and that led to something bad happening, that can be included in their list however a player would prefer. If the character is religious and feels guilt for engaging in any activity they feel is sinful, then that would also count. Alternatively, even if a character doesn't feel like they've done wrong but they know it wouldn't be accepted by most, it could also be added to the list. So even if they don't feel like it's wrong that they beat up somebody, if they know that others would find it to be a sin, then it can be included as well.


All of this can include feeling responsible for a death even if they didn't directly cause it, suicidal ideation or attempts, sexual promiscuity, etc. It can even be something as minor as forgetting someone's birthday if your character is truly the type to feel a deep-seated guilt over it.


Additionally, you will find a list of characters currently in the game and their list of sins. Please use the list below to add or remove sins! Just link the thread where you've completed the sinful or redemptive act and wait for mod approval.


Please note that once a character has removed all of the sins from their list they can no longer be played in the game. Which may very well be a player's ultimate goal! Congratulations, your character has moved out of hell and is now back in their world living a new life or have moved on up to Heaven.
