Mammon's Lands
Mammon's Lands
There's a great sea of blood and fire. The boat that leads your travels feels precarious over the treacherous waters as the damned souls drowning within grab desperately at it. They desire to climb aboard for a reprieve from their eternal torment, drowning and burning while never truly dying. Poor bastards. The guards keep them at bay as the boat comes ever closer to an island in a far away place. It's been travel for days on end, but relief floods in at the long awaited lands. The boat docks, and soon, the travelers are ready for the real test of their journey.
Up ahead, deer twisted by Hell snarl menacingly with sharp teeth, tense and poised to attack. There may be a fight to fend off the feral wild life as travelers follow the path forward towards an old castle and kingdom that somehow seems vibrant and full of life still, if old fashioned.
The demons here are adorned in gold and fine silks, befitting the greed of their master. Alcohol seems to flow freely in the streets and there are all sorts of public displays of sin, dens of iniquity beckoning passers-by in with only the loveliest faces. These lands beckon you to dive into sin, to fall into luxury and overindulgence. Markedly different to Penance, the atmosphere seems... inviting. The demons are warm and generally friendly. They hold no contempt for the passers-by in their land.

The Castle Standing at a higher elevation than the rest of the kingdom, Mammon's castle is old and drafty at times. Still, despite these minor inconveniences, it is adorned in extravagant furnishings throughout, and various beastly displays of some of Mammon's kills (or his creations, as some of the servants whisper). Feral, demonic animal heads are mounted everywhere, taxidermied hell beasts stand poised throughout the halls and rooms. Some are made to look like they are eternally engaged in a battle to the death.
While there's no technology in Mammon's domain, there is a large library located within the castle walls that house plenty of fiction and non-fiction alike. A lot of it may be in demonic tongue, but there's plenty sinners may find familiar as well. Like most things in Hell, the books do seem to be decades behind for most modern readers.
There are communal bathing and restroom areas for all to enjoy. Shower stalls have walls and doors for added privacy, restrooms are securely enclosed, but there are large co-ed baths for soaking that span an entire room. Everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy the relaxation these baths seem to induce.
Additionally, while there are no private kitchens, room service is available. Servants move around the castle constantly who will be more than happy to take an order. If that isn't to a sinner's liking, there is also a grand dining hall that is always bustling and full of food at seemingly all hours. Mammon frequently dines in this area with his servants. There's always music playing and succubi dancing for the entertainment of the crowd. Mead, wine, and whiskey flow freely through this hall.
It should be noted that the lower levels and basement of this castle are strictly off-limits. At night, one may swear they hear animals scratching and screeching. The rumor is that Mammon's greed doesn't stop at that which already exists, but that he runs quite a few experiments to create new beauties for his collections. Of course it's probably not true....

Mammon's Gardens Mammon's gardens are rumored to be the envy of even God himself. Lush greenery, floral and fruit bearing plants line this area and seem to lead to the stone throne in the middle of it, where sits the lord of this domain. The stone is encroached with vines and sits next to a large apple tree.
Still, despite all displays, Mammon is known for his generosity and sharing of his time and efforts. There is plenty of space to explore, even areas cleared away for picnics that are tucked away and private. He welcomes all who are curious about one of the only areas of greenery and live plants to exist in all of hell.
While there are many rumors about Mammon making various nasty deals to carve himself out this piece of Heaven in Hell, his lips are sealed. Nothing feels menacing about the garden. Quite the contrary. It inspires peace and relaxation more than anything. One could linger here all day...
By the way, have you tried the cider? It's made from Mammon's own plants. It's said to have some very appealing effects...

Guestrooms There's seemingly an endless number of rooms for guests spread out through the castle walls. These come in four person, three person, and single variety. While Mammon has agreed to keep the rooming situation the same as Lucifer's own design, sinners will note that the rooms lack bathrooms and personal kitchen (for those who had them). The beds, however, are large and amazingly soft. Almost like sleeping on a cloud. It may be quite a struggle to wake up in the morning.
Those who lived in Hellburbia will be able to take their pick among the rooms during their stay. Washing basins and fresh water are offered in every room for convenience. Restrooms are never more than a few steps away.
( Back To Map & Key )
Shops There are a number of shops as well as many street vendors that offer items ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables from Mammon's own garden, expensive clothing items (including tailored and custome items), spell ingredients, books, weaponry (albeit nothing similar to guns or the like), and almost any other items one could want! Despite there being very little technology in use in Mammon's domain, there are even vendors selling upgrades from the blackberry-like device sinners are given upon entry as well.
Sinners are warned to avoid deal brokers who will offer items from home such as small weapons, trinkets, pets, etc. Some may require payment in tasks, misdeeds, or even memories. While they w ill supply the item in question, it's never quite ideal to make deals with demons, is it? Other shops of note:
( Back To Map & Key )
Dining There's a bustling tavern in town that offers a variety of food, as well as alcohol ranging from whiskey, ale, mead, etc. Some of it may pack a punch for even the most resilient drinker, so it's recommended that everyone take caution when indulging! The homey little space is constantly bustling with demons, and now, sinners alike. There's an area set up for games such as pool and poker, as well as back rooms for more... private encounters if anyone should want them.
If the tavern isn't quite what anyone is after, there are numerous vendors set up selling various kinds of foods and treats. Careful! Some may be laced with feel good enhancements or potent aphrodisiacs. While the vendors try to label these items, mistakes do happen at times! Oh, whoops.
( Back To Map & Key )
Activities Since this is the vacation spot in Hell, Mammon has supplied numerous activities to keep sinners busy! There is a nude beach (although those who are shy may wear a suit) with plenty of water-based activities (It's fine if the water is a bit red!). There's also potent aphrodisiac laced sunblock and tanning lotion being passed out that sinners would do well to keep an eye on.
Other activities include lessons in hand-to-hand combat, archery, and swordsmanship, etc. There are also classes on taxidermy or basic jewelry making lessons (with the added treat of adding a harmless little protection spell or two to the piece! What a fun gift to give a friend.)
There are museums available and open but keep in mind that many of these works of art may induce migraines or even temporary insanity for those lacking angelic or demonic blood. Human eyes just aren't meant to appreciate the finer things in life.
There is also a petting zoo full of exotic animals. They offer horseback riding, as well as a small aquarium for those who may be curious about the aquatic life in Hell. Careful, a lot of these animals bite! Don't touch or taunt.
( Back To Map & Key )
Brothels & Adult Establishments Mammon's land is home to some of the finest brothels and adult establishments around. Manned by only the most beautiful incubi and succubi, these demons are eager to please. They lack some of the malicious intent of their fellow siblings in Penance, simply because these demons are extremely well-fed and well-taken care of. They are eager to accommodate any fantasy available, including less-than accepted ones (who mentioned that vore fetish, now...?). /
They will also just add their touch to any partners who may wish to lose themselves in a haze of lust and pleasure.
Of note, there's a green room that is rather easy to stumble into. In this room are eager vines that seem to feed off of sexual pleasure and release. Those who find themselves trapped in the tendrils will find they're coated in a slick substance that's full of a potent aphrodisiac. Clothes will be shred, bodies will be penetrated, new heights of sexual pleasure will be reached - unless some other kind soul happens to come by to help (or join in, or take over...).
For those who aren't into the brothel scene, there are also adult plays that are put on rather regularly with plenty of sexual situations and nudity.
There's also a portion of Mammon's gardens that seems to encourage group activities. These may be as tame as mutual massages or as drastic as group sex, depending on the mood of those involved.
( Back To Map & Key )
Theatre & Entertainment While there's no technology, and so no TVs, games, computers, etc., there is plenty to see and do! There is a local theatre group that puts on productions of famous plays that are free for all who may be curious. These may even require crowd participation on occasion! Additionally, there is always live music somewhere to be enjoyed.
If that still isn't to your taste, sinners will find a lush forest accessible through the kingdom. Vibrant and alive, this forest certainly has its share of feral animals and experimental beasts, but there have been areas cleared for camping. There's also a variety of mushroom that's said to have curious effects if someone wants to forage for them. These effects are similar to that of any hallucinogen available. They are tiny, black mushrooms found near some of the trees the further in you go.
Daily hunts for food and sport are also available for those who are so inclined.

While they w ill supply the item in question, it's never quite ideal to make deals with demons, is it? Other shops of note:
Urthran's Comics And Collectibles
An unassuming little comic shop that has all the usual you'd expect, items ranging from books, collected graphic novels, figures, games, etc.
All seems well until sinners notice a lot of the books over exaggerated or outright made up stories about their lives on the shelves. They may also include stories about embarrassing or sinful acts committed along the way, giving the eerie impression that sinners are definitely being watched more closely than they like to think about.
If asked, the demons will explain they got their stock from many sources across many universes.
There are also postcards available to send that special friend elsewhere a message! Just ignore the somewhat concerning or personal pictures on some of them...
The Spoiled Pet
A pet shop that includes high end toys, clothes, and treats for all those beloved little (or not so little) pets you may have!
It should be noted that Mammon's dragons are also for sale in a lot of these shops, along with normal animals from home. The dragons start off as babies no larger than the palm of a hand and will never grow bigger than a common chihuahua. They range in temperament from affectionate and loyal to feisty and protective of their masters. It should be noted that these little carnivores may also come equipped with fire breath or a light to moderate toxic bite if provoked. None of this would be enough to kill anyone, but it should probably be watched out for...
The Ink Shop:
A tattoo and piercing parlor for those who may be feeling very adventurous. They seem to offer all sorts of body modification, as a matter of fact... Some may also be able to convince the shop demons to remove one scar from their body received during their time in Hell (with the exception of marks received from Lucifer or The Veiled Order).
In the Cut
Finally, a place to get a haircut! This high-end salon offers complete makeovers, as well as seems to have an endless supply of alcohol and treats to keep one around all day.
The Book Shoppe
Unlike the comic shop, this establishment seems to have a large selection of books. While not the most modern selection, there are familiar titles as well as demonic ones. These seem to veer largely towards fiction, but there are a few that concern the history of Mammon's land. There's also a few strange 'biographies' about Lucifer and Lilith that read more like ancient teen crush books, complete with photo spreads.
Adult Shops
Of course it wouldn't be Hell without a supply of sex and lingerie shops. Some of these seem unassuming on the outside, but house the most deplorable items within. Upon entering, there may be a certain urges to buy items that feel near impossible to resist. Workers in these shops are happy to provide direction or demonstrations on how to use any items within... or recommend suitable lingerie for any lovebirds!
